A funding portal gets renewed or cut based on a slide, not on how it feels to use. If you can’t show your board what changed, the portal becomes a line item somebody questions every budget cycle. Decide what you’ll measure before launch, collect it with members’ consent, and describe it in language that claims exactly what the data supports.
This lesson gives you a metrics ladder from first login to self-reported award, the definitions that make each metric trustworthy, the ethics of collecting outcome data from members, and how to feed it into reports to your own funders, including the Economic Development Administration’s performance reporting.
