About This Grant
Maryland EXCELS Payments reward child care programs for providing high-quality services to families who use the Child Care Scholarship program. Programs rated at Maryland EXCELS Quality Rating levels 3, 4, or 5 receive increased reimbursement amounts on top of standard Child Care Scholarship payments, ranging from 10% to 44% depending on the child's age, type of care (family child care or child care center), and the program's quality rating level.
