About This Grant
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) pays licensed child care providers in advance for child care scholarship services, based on enrollment rather than attendance. Payments are issued twice monthly — on the 15th and 30th — covering the two service periods of each month. A True-Up reconciliation process adjusts payments one month later to account for any children added or removed after the advance payment was calculated. Assistance type: subsidy.
