About This Grant
The Industrial Economic Development Program (IEDP) is comprised of 54 MW of hydropower allocated from the Municipal and Rural Electric Cooperative Systems' block. The program is intended to support economic development within the service territories of these systems. The allocated power is used to meet the increased electric load resulting from eligible new or expanding businesses in the service area. Awards are allocated with the approval of the NYPA Board of Trustees.
