Florida DOEA - Medicaid Long-Term Care Services
The Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care (SMMC LTC) Program provides comprehensive long-term care services to eligible Medicaid recipients through contracted Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). MCOs receive capitated payments from the state to coordinate and deliver a wide range of home and community-based services (HCBS) and nursing facility care, with the goal of delaying or preventing institutionalization.
