Support

Plans and what they include

What is free, what needs a subscription, and which features are Pro — plus what happens when a subscription lapses.

OpenGrants Pro starts at $9/month or $99/year, with a 7-day free trial.

Full detail is on the pricing page.

What needs a subscription

Some capabilities are gated, and it is worth knowing which before you plan a workflow around them.

Requires an active subscription

  • Matching — ranked, scored recommendations against your organization profile

Requires Pro

  • Eligibility checks — the structured verdict and per-criterion breakdown for a specific grant

Not gated the same way

  • Searching grants, contracts and funders
  • Pulling full records
  • Funder profiles

What happens when a subscription lapses

Gated features return a clear message pointing to pricing. They do not silently return worse results or partial data — you are told the feature is unavailable rather than being given something misleading.

That is deliberate: a half-answer on eligibility is worse than no answer.

Legacy account limits

Some older accounts carry caps that current subscriptions do not:

  • 5 alerts on some legacy accounts — current subscriptions are unlimited
  • 10 saved grants on some legacy accounts — current subscriptions are unlimited

If you hit one of these, the message will say so and point you to upgrading. If you have been on OpenGrants a long time and are hitting a wall that the documentation says should not exist, this is almost certainly why.

Changing or cancelling
