Sports Event Grant Program

The Ohio Major Sporting Event Grant provides a grant to local organizing committees, endorsing municipalities, or endorsing counties to attract major sporting events to Ohio. The program is a reimbursement program designed to offset the applicant's qualifying costs, which include costs related to preparations, facility construction/renovation, and providing assurances to a site selection organization. The goal is to generate additional revenue for the state and local communities.
