Local Health Department Subsidies

This program is a state-mandated budget line item that provides annual subsidies to local health departments in Ohio. The funding is distributed on a per capita basis, with $2.16 million allocated annually for local health departments that are either accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) or actively pursuing accreditation, and an additional $1.84 million allocated annually for accredited local health departments.
