The overall goal of the project is to strengthen the legal capacity and proficiency of government officials, including policymakers, negotiators, legal experts and practitioners, and other relevant officials from Southeast Asian and Pacific Islands countries concerning the principles and practices of public international law, including, but not limited to, the law of the sea as reflected in the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention and maritime boundary treaty law and negotiations.
