About This Grant
The Illinois Affordable Housing Tax Credit (IAHTC) is a state tax credit program administered by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) to encourage private investment in affordable housing. Donors of qualified donations receive a one-time tax credit on their Illinois state income tax equal to 50 percent of the donation's value. The donor can then transfer these credits to the project sponsor (developer), which creates additional project financing through syndication of the credits...
