About This Grant
Maryland Energy Administration grant program offsetting a portion of project costs for development, construction, and interconnection of grid-scale renewable energy generation and energy storage projects. Incentive levels are determined through a closed, two-stage bid auction, with grants awarded to eligible bidders requesting the lowest price. Established by the Utility RELIEF Act of 2026 and codified in §9–20E–01 et seq. of the State Government Article, Annotated Code of Maryland.
