About This Grant
Calvert County participates in FEMA's Community Rating System (CRS) Program. Because the county meets CRS requirements — including floodplain protection activities, public education, and flood data management — residents who own property with structures in the 100-year floodplain receive a 10% discount on their flood insurance premiums when they start or renew a National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policy.
