Event Trust Funds Program (Major Events Reimbursement Program)

The Event Trust Funds program, which includes the Major Events Reimbursement Program, is a mechanism to attract major events to Texas. It assists Texas communities with paying event-related costs by depositing projected gains in various local and state taxes (sales, auto rental, hotel, alcoholic beverage) generated by the event into a dedicated, event-specific trust fund to cover allowable expenses. The funding is disbursed on a reimbursement basis.
