About This Grant
The Distressed County Program, a federal-state partnership through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and the Ohio Department of Development, provides enhanced funding for projects in ARC-designated distressed counties. It funds public facilities, infrastructure, human resources, strategic planning, and technical assistance projects aimed at economic development, community learning, and leadership development. Applicants are eligible to request up to 80% of the total project costs.
